So many.
There’s something about the aroma of flowers, feel of perspiration, burn from the scorching sun hidden behind the layers of smog, quench for a nice tall glass of ice cold water, unveiling of skin, thighs, elbows(parts covered for too long of a period underneath long heavy jackets and unappealing outerwear), spring collection of floral prints and a rainbow of colors
that make a long day of walking aimlessly after a bad night’s rest all worth the while.
Goodbye to Beijing’s short, wonderful spring. Hello to the long summer heat, but I ain’t mad. It’s starting to feel a lot like home again, qualities popping here and there from both ends of the world. It’s been a hell of an experience, and I’m beginning to fall in love all over again. Hello tumblr world, I am back.
Sadly, I think I’ve assimilated to the point where the common fights I see weekly, for example the one witnessed today between an old female thief and a young male security guard(shit got real, ponytails got pulled & not in a good way if you’re into that kind of stuff) does not phase me one bit.
Ironically, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to a salesman following me for two floors straight trying to pitch me a sale.
Oh China, how I’ll miss you.
Currently in Shantou, my ancestral hometown, waiting at an internet cafe resembling the ones everyone used to go to in middle school amongst an overload of testosterone, hoping that my parents will soon call me to tell me where on earth I’m supposed to go.
My phone battery is low, and there is no outlet compatable with my cell phone.
Adventure time.
They really need to update the programs here.
